This week we studied Joel 3:1-21.
So much symbolism and meaning!
Judah + Jerusalem = God’s people
Valley of Jehoshaphat = “Yahweh has judged” or “The LORD judges”
Judgment on nations who did evil and were against God and His people
Ex: Tyre, Sidon, Philistia, Egypt, Edom (representing other nations in same areas as well)
Scary!
Not a literal battle against God, but God’s judgment on the nations
Who can stand against God…?
Grain & Wine in verse 13= so much evil
Joel 3:10
Micah & Isaiah: Swords into Plowshares
Joel: Plowshares into Swords
Micah & Isaiah: Spears into Pruning hooks
Joel: Pruning hooks into spears
